Starter Shaft Sheared (Before FCS Run)

Indications:

• No N2 increase, or
• N2 decreases after initial increase
• Duct pressure normal
• Start Valve Open light remains on
  

Actions:

• Discontinue start; push start switch in by recall
• Maintenance action is required
• Coordinate with ATC and GND for return to bay
• Complete "AFTER LANDING CHECKS" prior to parking

• Attempting to motor engine as per aborted start checklist
• ATC not informed of lengthy delay
